YeBo Academy and NASCEE Empower Education Leaders Through Coaching in Context Johannesburg Report

Education and social impact practitioners gathered in Johannesburg for YeBo Academy's Coaching in Context Short Course, delivered in collaboration with NASCEE. The two-day programme equipped participants with practical coaching skills, fostered collaboration across organisations, and inspired new ways of supporting young people and teams to thrive.

What does it take to build stronger leaders, more meaningful relationships, and cultures that help young people thrive?

These questions were at the heart of the Coaching in Context Short Course hosted by YeBo Academy in collaboration with NASCEE in Johannesburg on 9–10 June 2026.

Bringing together practitioners from across the education and social impact sectors, the two-day programme introduced practical coaching tools and techniques that can be applied in everyday work – from guiding teams and supporting personal growth to fostering collaboration and navigating complex challenges.

The outcomes were striking. Participants demonstrated substantial knowledge gains, described the training as transformative, and emphasised the value of learning alongside peers who share a commitment to social change. Many left not only with new skills, but with renewed confidence, deeper connections, and a stronger sense of purpose.

This report captures the highlights of the Johannesburg cohort, including participant feedback, learning outcomes, and reflections on how coaching can unlock potential in individuals, teams, and communities.
